SpiderForest.com's COMIC OF THE WEEK begins... well, technically it began at the beginning of this week. I am ashamed to be a bit late in tooting the first comic's horn (I'd wanted to get some fanart for them too!), but I hope that won't stop you from clicking this picture to read...

Gemutations: Plague! (It's rated R... it's not really that bad; violent and I think there's some cussing and mild nudity. When I read it I was never really offended or put off by the content.)

See, this is a special week for Gemutations. It marks SpiderForest becoming their primary mirror. They joined in the last application season, and now Plague is here to stay!

Plague is one hell of a read. Don't judge it by its looks alone, you'll be instantly dragged into this world of mutations and betrayals, racism, and death. In a world filled with gemunes struggling to adapt, a virus pops up that spreads, rapidly spreading horrible mutations to humans. If they can't stop the virus, a war will inevitably break out between the humans and the gemunes to destroy them and stop the 'normal' humans from being mutated as well.

The early pages are definitely a work in progress, but I would encourage anyone who wants a gripping read to work through. Fans of X-men will like this one, I think.

Sorry for the... very... late... page again. D: I think I'm going to shoot for Tuesday/Friday as an update schedule.

Hey, anyone who read this far mind answering a couple of questions? Would you buy a print copy of Between Places? If maybe, would you be swayed by bonus, print-only content? Would you prefer it split by chapter, into a couple of books, or everything up til the time of printing in one book for a more expensive book with all the content? I know I have a few people already who want copies, so I'm going to make a print copy... sometime in the next few months. However, I'm interested in knowing if people would be swayed to purchase by print-only touched up art, deleted scenes, bonus short stories.

It'll probably be a manga-sized full color book, unless people would rather pay more for larger prints... I designed everything to be printed at manga paperback size. I was going to split up into around 150/200 pages per book (would probably be around 20 dollars per book), so we'd have two books by now if I went by that (I think I would cut either so chapter 11 starts book three, or 12 starts book three). Then, if it's for more than two people, there will be print-only content, so let me know whether you'd be interested and what you'd want to see as a print-only special.
