I can't make updates. Mostly it's because I've been dragged away from home every day for the last few days, this upcoming day included, and haven't HAD any time at the computer. Also it's a pain in the arse trying to get back into 'doing a page every day' gear after so long of not doing anything... I admit it... I've gotten lazy in this creative daze.
The page is mostly finished but since I'm getting dragged off right after work tomorrow no way can I stay up to paint another panel and a half. Likely as not the page will show up Sunday now unless I can squeeeeeze in a few minutes of painting between work and leaving. :) I might be able to, depending on how wired I am... it shouldn't take an hour to finish.

Breaking news: vote for Between Places on Top Webcomics for new vote incentives daily!
I'm not sure how many times I really have to rave about this comic to get the point across: I really like Cetiya. Dreamy cyberpunk, the characters and the story have simply pulled me in. If you like Between Places, and you like cyberpunk, I can only encourage you to read it. It's well worth it. I mean, how many times have I just RAVED over it? That's telling, really!
I've been watching this one for far longer than it's been on SpiderForest, slowly watching the art, the paneling, and the story grow. Cetiya is a cyberpunk manga, though I don't feel like the art is enough like a traditional manga to have that sort of... jarring, grating feeling I usually have with most manga. Yeah, it's black and white, but it has its own style about it, and a consistent stylization of the characters that sets it apart from most web manga. (By this I mean it doesn't have that silly spindly line, explosions of dot-toning, and MASSIVE EYEBALL style that almost every other web manga seems to have.)
And on a random art note, I absolutely love the use of hands. Mitsukaiten draws gorgeous hands (I'm so jealous, hands are my downfall still.) and uses them to add such expression to her characters, every conversation is just drenched in characterization and personality.
It's a great read. Read it.
So, two things.
To the people who commented on my last comic... um, did my replies show up? I can't see them. I had this problem once before with IntenseDebate, where I couldn't see my own replies. If you didn't get my replies, well, I did really appreciate your answers! The short of it is that I'm not making print copies of Between Places to really make anything for myself, but because I personally want a hard copy of all my work, and I know there may be some other people interested in owning a print copy. I might not even really get extra copies, besides anyone who indicates interest whenever I do some sort of preorder thing.
Secondly... sorry for a late page, my power went out yesterday! D:<
Oh yeah, and thirdly. NEW VOTE INCENTIVES EVERY DAY FOR THE REST OF MAY. No lie. I've set them all up and everything! Even if the picture doesn't change because I fell asleep, there will be a new one on TWC. If I see any significant difference, there will also be... NEW VOTE INCENTIVES EVERY DAY FOR JUNE (I already have all of these incentives uploaded and sitting in a text file to put into Top Webcomics too), so get voting! I don't want to see those 800s anymore, especially because I know a year ago I was in the 200s. D:

The POWER GOES OUT. D:< You know, it's almost like the universe is saying STOP MAKING THIS COMIC. Oh well. Instead of getting my update done, I set up vote incentives DAILY for the rest of May, thouuugh I did that earlier when I could've been drawing, oops, I didn't know the power was going to go out. Though this didn't involve any new drawings either. Well, page will go up in the afternoon now... being as there was a critical lack of power available to my computer, um, yeah. Balls. Vote for me daily on Top Webcomics for MOSTLY NEVER SEEN BEFORE or at least CLOSEUPS OF art of mine. Laa.

Cetiya! (16A. It has some nudity and cussing going on.)
