I feel kind of like I'm taking a risk by transitioning to this scene. Firstly, because it's a quick transition (that probably should've had its own chapter cover but lazy me didn't want to design one) but secondly because... well... it's been a LONG TIME since we've actually paid attention to what was supposed to be the primary plot of the story. You know. The story would've been done by now if I hadn't sidetracked myself and stuck to the original plotline, which was basically "Mysada locks herself in her dream. The Order goes to save the day. Action ensues, cumulating in an epic battle between good and evil"... at any rate, I did previously mention wanting to do this scene, so let me give you a bit of background.
This scene is, if I were going to redo the comic, what would be the first scene of the entire thing. If I rearranged things, the next few pages to follow would be the prologue. This scene was written and added into my script as a response to people freaking out because things didn't make sense. By no means is it an info-dump, but it does cover a bit of the insinuated history with Mysada. It may also be fanservice. (I don't get why you guys like Avante so much! Also, for the one person who asked... here you go, it's Afrain. Now he is a recurring character. Happy?) At any rate, it may seem to be a slightly nonsensical scene, either that or it will make perfect sense. Just keep in mind that this is mentally what I consider to be the first scene of the comic. It is intended to be one of those scenes for the readers who were paying attention.
And, you know? I think I'm in the zone again. (wipes forehead) It took a while, but I think I'm back to S/T/Th updates!
I put up a new incentive, and also snuck Xander into my links page, which is like reading Between Places if the art was clear, the story was relatively light-hearted and everything made sense. So yeah, if you like Between Places for reasons other than "it's an experimental artsy comic", like say "I like things about lucid dreaming", you'll like Xander.
