I tried a new painting style for panels 2-4 here... on one hand, I can much quicklier (totally not a word) get detailed tonal value... but I sacrifice control of color. Or at least, I feel I did. I wanted more pastel colors and could only end up with vivid or washed out. On one hand, quicker detail work... on the other hand, sacrificing control of color. I dunno, I'm torn. I may use both, depending on what the panel is. I'm definately going to be using this for hands (black and white with a color/overlay layer over top) but for faces and ESPECIALLY backgrounds I feel it loses out.
