Yeah, yeah, I know I'm late on the updates again. My great grandmother had a stroke, while at the same time we had to get my sister to the airport, while in the same space of time I had a bout of tendonitis and couldn't move my left arm without excruciating pain. This seems to be the story of my life.

Last week's Comic of the Week, by the way, was School Spirit, and I invite you to give it a read while waiting impatiently for my update! It's a great little Australian comic that's been around since as long as I can remember, family friendly ghostly and Australian humor. I'll post a proper review and links once I get my update live, of which hopefully there will be two this week so I can get this week's Comic of the Week posted too... >_____> But I haven't had time for much more than painting my nails sparkly blue, thank goodness for that or I'd have gone batty.

Thank you for your patience.   -  March 15, 2012   -   1857

The comic of the week is The Only Half Saga by Darwin! (rated M)

Only Half is the story of a half vampire (a dhampir) and his struggles against a world that definitely doesn't accept his kind, and love, and action, and drama, and vampires and stuff like that. It has a lot of man candy if that's your thing and a lot of action if that's your thing. While it's a little slow at first, by the time I reached the end of the archive I was mashing at the next button all annoyed because there wasn't more!

Now, it is rated M for language, violence, and a bit of sexy times so keep in mind if you visit it's a little less tame in content than Between Places. However, it's a good read if you like urban fantasy... or perhaps this is urban science fiction?... and vampires. And half vampires.

Here's our original page!

If you've made it this far, thank you for your patience. I was tied up with a few commissions, most of which are done now, so I should be able to focus my time on doing my own art again. If I ever do this again, someone PLEASE smack me and remind me why I don't go out of my way to take commissions: you get paid way less than minimum wage by people who boss you around in the name of art to varying degrees of levels, and then usually don't get paid anyway, or at least not until you pester people until they grudgingly finally give in. This only goes to reinforce the "reality" that my time is worthless and people are happily free to waste it at their convenience because after all, art is FUN! I really want to spend all of my non-working hours after coming home from my full time job making art for other people! I don't like eating! Or showering! Or sleeping! Not all THAT much. So yeah. "Fun." This is why I withdrew my application after I got accepted into a graphic design course. I just managed to somehow forget.

Please, future self: stop doing art that you're not doing just for yourself.

(I thought I'd better add here, I'm not passive-agressively ranting. Probably no one here knows the person I'm sulking about for pulling a runner.)
