It'll be Thursday now. Probably. I got slammed with a deadline for something else that took priority and I'm not home for all of tomorrow, I don't think. I haven't touched my page. But if I can't make Thursday, you guys will get two pages Friday. Fair enough? All right. Well, not like you get to argue anyway. XD
Too sick to function - April 11, 2011 - 2254
I was gonna stay up and do page but too sick to function. It's rapidly getting worse. Should've done it earlier, I know, when I still felt okay.
So, ya'know... - April 11, 2011 - 0100
The drill! Sorry for the late page, web, infinite canvas, bondage speech bubbles... a bit of nightmare fodder... yep, all is well. I don't even know why I pretend I'm making a comic. It's just all about art.
I do see now that my infinite canvas extension is a bit off (and sorry for the massive in file size page, but y'know, png is the only file type that plays well with transparencies and my art). Yeah, I have no idea how this will play in print. This is probably a web-only page, as it stands. I guess I am being a bit pretentious now... okay srsly pretentious... with my typographical experiments. You guys tell me what you think. Am I going too far by having speech bubble bondage? The panellessness? The infinite canvas? The jagged narration? Or should I keep pushing what I do in the direction of the weird? I won't claim the fire in-the-infinite-canvas idea is entirely mine (I've seen it done before) but I love it and would definitely like to do more infinite canvas playing, since I've reverted to a single sidebar site and have the room for it. I'm imagining branches breaking free of the comic page, fish swimming outside of the boundaries, etc. I think that kind of thing would be fun and add to the dreamy effect. It'd be lost in print but fun for the web edition. I'm kind of surprised I've never done anything like this before, to be honest.
I have more fun when I'm doing weird shit, but you guys tell me what you think and want.
For the record: THIS PAGE IS A CALLBACK. I hardly expect anyone to remember a page from a year ago (though I will say that reading through makes a lot more sense than page by page!) so convenient link is convenient.
