Hmm, now isn't THIS familiar... - February 25, 2010 - 0156
I actually like this page. I think that may possibly come from being a jerk, because really, there's nice technical errors and HAVEN'T WE ALL SEEN THIS BEFORE?
Yet, I like this page because it's a call-back to the original script. Originally Gabriel and Julican faced off in a forest (on Falahil) and Gabriel opened up a door and jumped through and called out to Abroidine for help. (In my fanart section there's a great illustration of the original scene, plus some bonus pocky from a fan who's read the original script. >_>) Since I ended up tossing in Falahil as a character (who accidentally became a main character) obviously I ended up fleshing out the original scene SIGNIFIGANTLY more than was in my original script... but ending on Gabriel calling for Abroidine for help is a callback to the original and so means something personal to me. (and also maybe finally that I'll get to introduce her! Huzzah!)
Also I just love drawing snow. It's so much funnn. Snow and blood AND Gabriel? AND plot advancement? Which is causing character hardship? Even better!
If you missed it, the comic of the week was What It Takes.
