What? I can't date the title now? - October 6, 2009 - 0341
Every page I do tends to have one panel better than all the rest. In this case, panel 2, which I spent probably the same amount of time painting as I did the rest of the comic. Oh well, I needed a new avatar anyway. I was getting tired of using the same shot of Falahil. I just tend to detail a panel more when it's RIGHT for that character. In this case, that is how Talnaver is supposed to look so I detailed it up for later reference.
Comic of the week!
Rune Master! Rune Master is a colorful fantasy comic with crisp and very colorful art. Though the shading is simple it stands out for the bold uses of color and heavy lines bringing the characters out of the background and then to life. I love the use of colors--if you go to the beginning, where the scene is sunny, the colors are bright and hard--and the current scene is in the moonlight and everything's desaturated including the lines. Okay, I admit it, I love the BRIGHT RED HAIR. But still! BRIGHTREDHAIR. Anyway. The writing is easy to follow and occasionally witty, proving and interesting read. The characters have distinct personalities even from the beginning and you might even giggle a bit while reading it. Always good in a fantasy webcomic.
